When it rains, the air is naturally cleansed and airborne particles fall. No different Indoors, water vapor as valued by relative humidity (RH) between 40–60% cleans the air and delivers occupant health.
Most buildings can’t manage internal envelope moisture, without the risk of condensation pooling in hidden areas, so engineers lower RH to reduce risk.

Below 40%RH infectious droplets lose their water content and become “dry aerosols”. Microbes get incorporated in the dry structures of the solutes, are preserved and remain infectious for longer.
