Public Statement Regarding Michael Budd and Employees of The Related Companies
It is a matter of public record:
On April 24, 2017, I met with Michael Budd and the head of acquisitions for The Related Companies at their New York offices. Prior to this meeting, I had filed a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), securing my innovations in building enclosure technology. During the meeting, I disclosed specific design elements, including a "U"-shaped trough designed to collect water from failed seals or condensation, directing it through a drainage path. Air flow, down tubes, I explicitly informed them of my patent filing earlier that day.
The, BUDD original not published Provisional Patent, will make clear what transpired, and I will have that in my possession within several days.
Despite this disclosure, within 67 days, Michael Budd with the help of at least one other key employee filed a provisional patent application, an application that failed to reference my prior art, disclosed at our meeting. This omission constitutes a fraud on the USPTO, violating the duty of disclosure, candor required during patent prosecution. Filing with the USPTO electronically and omitting your knowledge of prior art and your co-inventor, is wire-fraud, a felony.
Filing by US MAIL is a fraud as well. You can't hand delivery patent applications, they knew this was all a fraud, yet they acted.
The BUDD patents, all of them, belong to me. Novel, Drainage and Air Flow, he learned it all from me. In fact before BUDD met me he never filed any patents, he simply robbed from his employees as the public record shows.
Am I being mean spirited, NO, I am simply staking my claim, taking back what belongs to me, and the monies owed to me will come as well.
The embarrassment BUDD has caused The Related Companies and the monies they have had to pay out because of him is a matter of public record.
All the money paid to extortionist, them claiming they had a stake in my designs, or they had other patents like the VEEV scam, this was a fraud played out globally.
The damage they caused is not just to themselves, since then so many tried to gather round this breakthrough invention that I alone created. From New York to Miami to Tel-Aviv, it was a frenzy of false claims of invention, frauds on WIPO, frauds on the USPTO. Using the powers of Patent to restrict and restrain trade, and intimidate is simple racketeering, and they all knew. Families destroyed over this. People so desperate to prove they had a financial win fall, even broke into my safe deposit box and stole laptops, and multiple hard drives and other proofs that they knew me and that they were my close confidants and should be paid their due.
I'd like my property back.
Someone stole electronic window samples, proof of my innovation in switchable films, worth 100 of Millions in revenue, perhaps billions, over time for a company like GAUZY.

I returned from some time overseas where I bumped into Tzuri a Jerusalem Waterproofing Contractor, APEX, he even took me to the project, he said it plainly, I was put up to copying your IP and they are going to pay me well.

It has been a wild ride and now the truth must be told because without the truth known, my family and I are truly at risk.

Back to, Michael Budd who solicited the assistance of my brother, Aaron Margalit, a junior employee at Related. Leveraging his position and influence, Budd coerced Aaron into speaking of my designs participating in actions that directly conflicted with ethical standards and familial trust. Aaron and I did not discuss any of this.
John Rolka, and Frank Seta had signed a Confidentiality Agreement/Non-Disclosure Agreement (CA/NDA) with me, did John Rolka share confidential information with Aaron.
There is a big difference between not honoring a signed CA/NDA and say committing fraud and filing flase documents with the USPTO.
While the term "conspire" may not have been used explicitly, the actions taken align with its definition.
This is not an isolated incident. In 2016, a federal jury found Michael Budd liable for misappropriating trade secrets from TeslaWall Systems, awarding $14.5 million in damages. The judgment highlighted Budd's pattern of unethical behavior in the industry.
The repercussions of these actions have been profound.
Trust between myself and stakeholders has been eroded, with some believing I withheld information, when in fact, I acted in good faith throughout. I had no knowledge of BUDD and his patent until 2023.
I filed my invention first and disclosed it transparently. BUDD knowingly acted against this disclosure. They committed multiple ethical and legal violations.
They CERTAINLY committed frauds and felonies. History will distinguish between the originators of innovation and those who sought to misappropriate it.
From New York to Miami to Tel-Aviv, this is a global fraud and it seems APOLLO may have paid for it all.
